A View to a Kill marks the 14th outing for the official
Bond movies. This time out Bond must outwit power crazy industrialist
Max Zorin who plans to monopolise the world's microchip supply,
killing millions in the process. Can Bond travel to Silicon
Valley, thwart Zorin's evil plans and make it back home to
collect his pension on Thursday? We'll see...
This
is the last outing for Moore as the world's most famous secret
agent - and not before time. While this is an excellent film
one can't help but feel sorry for Moore as he fumbles his
way through the movie. And the scenes with Moneypenny are
truly stomach churning.
Moore
hams it up with instantly forgettable lines like: "Call
me James. It's five days to Alaska", that will make even
the keenest Bond fan wince with embarrassment. Although the
supporting cast - Christopher Walker, Grace (I'm barking)
Jones and Patrick Macnee - add a great deal.
That
said, this is still a damn fine outing for Bond fans and a
great way for Moore to bow out - it's just a shame he looks
so haggard.
The
DVD contains an, as expected, array of additional material
well worth the £19.99 asking price.
