After
a weak fourth season for Buffy the Vampire Slayer it seems
the writers are back on top form for season five. Keri Allen
reports...
With
a return to comedic, although somewhat dark episodes, and
a story arc full of twists and turns, Buffy fans are happier
than ever.
This
season’s feel is also a bit different from the past, however
‘Glory’ as she is known has really got something special.
There is also an addition to the summers household – a mysterious
girl called Dawn has appeared – and as far as it seems, everyone
thinks she is Buffy’s kid sister – even the Buffster herself.
These
episodes are definitely worth tuning in for. This series is
looking into the past of the slayer, and it really grips you.
The Scooby gang is back on old form; getting right back in
on the action after lurking in the shadows at the tail end
of four. Xander and his ex-demon girlfriend Ania make for
the most jokes, and the new hideout happens to be the magic
shop, which good old Giles has bought.
Even
if for no other reason, the show should be watched just to
see Giles dressed up as a magician for his shop opening –
a classic if ever I saw one.
Watch
out later in the year for interviews with Buffy and Angel
cast and crew members.
